He, eine echt coooole Seite für eines, ach was schreibe ich denn da, für das BESTE Spiel aller Zeiten! Es wird wirklich Zeit daß mal wieder was Vergleichbares kommt!

Wartet mal ab !! Es kommt vielleicht nicht das beste Turrican für den PC, aber Spaß werdet ihr auf jeden Fall haben !!

Massive Turri-fan. 1st played them on an Amstrad CPC! but even then I was completely addicted to the gameplay and levels.

the Amiga, was of course, where it ruled. the music is still something to be bettered.

Role on Turrican3D. Let's just hope the new game does justice to an old classic!

And remember, if anybody can, turri-can can.

It's simply incredible to see how many people STILL like Turrican (IMHO T2 was the best... and Chris made an EXCELLENT job... I *STILL* listen to the soundtrack... and to his CDs of course!!) after so many years... Well, I just hope Turrican 3D and/or Thornado will bring new life to the character, because ST2 on the SNES was a bit disappointing.

By the way, Turrican/Huelsbeck fans worldwide may contact me if they wish... I literally ADORE both the game AND the musician behind it...

Turrican II on the Amiga is the best game ever. There, I've said it. I bought it in 1991 and 9 years later, I still play it on my '060 Amiga (on which it has never crashed). Fantastic design, brilliant coding, sublime music... what can I say? You can keep your Quakes and your Tomb Raiders - Turrican II is streets ahead in the fun department

I had the original Turrican 2 on my Amiga in 94 but after about 3 weeks it developed a read write error and there was nothing I could do to save it... I loved that game so much and until now I didn't know I would ever play it again.... thank you so much.

Turrican II was probably the game that made me nuts for buying an Amiga 500. I played it so much.... I never found a game that gave me that joy and thrill. And the music.... just unbelivable!
I miss it allot!!

I found out in your page that the composer of the Turrican II tunes (Huelsbeck) also composed other tunes for games that I used to play. In all of them the music was great.
He has to be a genius!

Love your site! Turrican is one of the best games ever, they dont make them like that anymore...or so it seems...is Turrican 3D really cancelled?Damn!! Fortunately my Amiga still works and i still play Turrican on it from time to time...

Just want to say that Turrican 2 AMIGA was the best of the series.
I've played all versions so I know what i'm talking about.

I can never forget in 1991 playing Turrican 2 for the AMIGA.Everything thing I wanted in a game was there:

.A LONG quest that never got boring.Which is hard to do for a action game.
Massive Weoapons
Riding in vehicles
Awesome music
Good graphics and animation
Most important it was so FUN.

It was always my most favorite Amiga game followed by choas engine,monkey island 2,another world,leander,it came from the desert
and madden football.

I left the amiga some time ago.sold all my amigas 600s/1200s
300/cd32.
But kept my first (500) and all my software,(thousands of disks).

I use a Mac now,but I ripped all my favorite tracks off turrican 2,and listen to them often in mp3 form.Along with the Chris hulsbeck turrican CD.

I'm not looking forward to turrican 3D,(I don't think it will have the zest of turrican 2).Any new computer with the Amiiga name means nothing to me.The real Amigas are the a500 thru a4000.

But I am looking forward to thornado.
Factor 5 is still making great games (rogue squadron,soon the new indie game).The game is in perfect hands.

When I heard the song from thornado,I knew there were on the right track.Thornado on GameCube WILL be the second coming of Turrican 2.

The Turrican series are my favourite games of all time, the fact that the Super Nes ports were different games was an original idea.

It sucks about the cancellation of Turrican 3d but from the pictures and posture of the characters it didn;t look that great anyway.

Yep, i´m another grath Turrican and Amiga Emulation Fan and i love Turrican...Often i listen my "new-old" C.Huelsbeck CDs ordered from Synsonic. And sometimes, i play Turrican and the other great ones on my Amiga Emulator. Yep i must say that´s fine to see a Site like yours...

Just thought Id say how great it was to see how many people still love all the turrican games. I can still remember playing it back in `91 when i was about 5 or something. Does anyone know if there are some place where I could get all of the original Turrican 1 musics to my PC (certainly mods)? It would be great to remember the old Amiga times. Those music is best of the Amiga, and it's still one of the greatest computer music ever made!

Turrican was one of the first computergames i ever played, but Metroid on the NES was a little bit greater.

Turrican fand ich schon früher geil, aber mit ein paar Jahren Abstand merkt man erst, wie gut die Spiele wirklich waren. Als ich seit Ewigkeiten mal wieder Turrican 2 gezockt habe, war ich gleich wieder gefesselt!

Voll geil ey! Ich hab Turrican 1 nie geschafft aber den 2ten Teil.

Turrican, DAS Game für den C64!!! Gibts davon eigentlich auch ne PC-Version? Wenn ja, wo? Hab letztens meinen alten C64 wieder ausgegraben und mußte feststellen, daß die Disketten von T1 und T2 nicht mehr ganz funktionieren. Falls jemand was weiß, bitte Mail an jorka@web.de. Danke.

hei does anyone know where i can find the "Super Turrican" ROM for the SNES (the version created by Manfred has the same title of Factor 5 game, but is different). i always find in emu sites Seika "Super Turrican" version, and i don't know where to look for that game. thanks to all involved in the creation of the most beautiful game ever!

hem... i fear that i failed... the ROM i want is for NES, sorry. but... i just can't find it! anyway, Turrican 3D is dead but Thornado will rule! i hope the main theme of the original soundtrack will be the same (ta-tatata-tatata-ta-tata...)

Hi, schöne Seite ! Endlich trifft man 'mal Gleichgesinnte.

Ich liebe die alten Turrican Spiele 1+2.
Ich habe noch alle 3 Teile auf original Disketten
für meinen alten Amiga 500 und auch die beiden Teile für den C64 auf original Disketten ! (*stolz*)
Besonders Turrican 1+2 sind genial, Turrican 3 war dann für mich schon fast kein echtes Turrican
Spiel mehr, da zu arcadelastig. Ausserdem waren
die ersten beiden Teile noch besser an die Amiga Hardware angepasst, Teil 3 war ja "nur" eine Umsetzung von Mega Turrican auf dem Mega Drive, was meines Wissens noch nicht einmal von Manfred Trenz sondern von der japanischen Firma KAIKO entwickelt wurde.
Super Turrican I auf dem Super Nintendo kam den original Turrican Spielen noch am nächsten, ist aber im Vergleich zu den ersten beiden Amiga/C64 Teilen irgendwie etwas öde / wirkt nicht so ausgereift und ist auch etwas zu kurz geraten.
Super Turrican 2 war dann für mich schon zu 80% ehr schon fast ein Contra/Probotector "Abklatsch", der irgendwie aufgrund der komplett anderen Machart/Prinzips auf mich nicht mehr den Zauber der original Turrican Spiele 1+2 ausüben konnte, auch die Musik
konnte mich in Super Turrican 2 nicht mehr überzeugen, da war Super Turrican I z.T. noch viel besser, auch von der Surround Klangqualität her.
Aber den musikalischen Höhepunkt der Turrican Spiele hat Chris Hülsbeck insgesamt betrachtet
mit Turrican 2 gehabt. Das Spiel ist eigentlich ziemlich perfekt, da passt alles zusammen / bildet alles eine Symbiose . Aber Turrican I hatte im Grunde auch schon einen genialen und
passenden Soundtrack und das Spiel hat auch seinen Reiz, da es auch sehr gut vom Levelaufbau durchdacht ist. Das einzige, was Turrican 2 noch etwas besser macht als den ersten Teil, ist die Tatsache, dass es etwas "erfrischender" und fetziger daherkommt.
Oh mann - gar nicht auszudenken, wie geil der echte Nachfolger von Turrican 2 auf dem Amiga geworden wäre von dem es ja schon einen Demo Level gegeben haben soll, hätte Factor 5 damals nicht pleite gemacht, oder was auch immer der Grund für das canceln des Projekts war.

Time..time runns by fast and the really great and fun games become invisible for the new genoration of kids but it is fun to think back of the old good days when you sit down ther whith your c-64 and played Great gamez like Turrican 1-2...and feel that you was 1 of the first peeps useing a home cpu...C-64 POWER!!!

I would just like to say that I am one of the old generation kids. I used to play Turrican 1 & 2 24/7 on my Amiga back in 1990 and 91. Many many very happy memories, I salute the good old days. One of the best games i've every had the privilage of playing.

Started on the c64,then moved on to the Amiga..I still let Turri out every now and then.
Definately the best trilogy of all time!

Nice work with this site!! i am a fan and been waitng for a sequel to turrican =P, read about a sequel to Nintendo Gamecube but they never released it, i guess they working their asses of with the star wars games the team factor 5 on gamecube.....hope they working in silent with a sequel...;)

Turrican the best game forever.Ich habe Turrican 2 und 3 durchgespielt und es ist immer noch eines meiner lieblings Spiele.

Ich mochte Turrican 1 und 2 auf dem Amiga sehr.
Irgendwann dachte ich,dass es schade ist,dass man
diese und andere Spiele nicht mehr spielen kann,
weil die Disketten immer schlechter werden und die
Amigas wohl irgendwann kaputtgehen werden.
Irgendwann im neuen Jahrtausend entdeckte ich
dann,dass die Spiele emuliert werden koennen!
Jetzt freue ich mich darauf,Turrican 1 und 2
wieder zu spielen,wenn ich in ungefaehr einer
Woche wieder in Deutschland bin.

Turrican war eine perfekte Symbiose aus Sound, Grafik und Gameplay. Ich versuche gerade den Turrican Sound auf mein SonyEricsson T610 Handy zu portieren. Fein, dass dieser Kult durch diese Site am Leben erhalten wird. Danke !

My God....i probably finished T2 on the Amiga from start to finish around 200 times or so. The many hours I've spend with the stick in my hand, behind my monitor, music blasting from my speakers are unforgetable. My god what a rush that game was. The feeling T2 and it's music gave me was a one time experience. Never felt so good about any other game ever!! 1000% playability/lastability and 2000% for the music. Chris you where the Maestro.

First wanted to say thx for all that "old" new stuff. Just downloaded the T2002 and i was so happy to play that Game again after i guess 12 Years. Thankx again for that really unbelivable surprise. Got a Question: Is there anyone out there who knows if there´s a way to get the old "Temples of Shaolin" Game? Would be probably as good as good old Turrican. Thx anyway think I found a great page right now.

The first turrican on the C64 is still one of my favourite games of all time. They don't make games like that anymore, but thanks to sites like this one they are preserved. Long live bloody old games!

When I think back 10 years or so I *always* think of Turrican... I was particularly fond of 1 and 2 - everything seemed to work together so nicely, especially with Huelsbeck's excellent mood-setting tracks. It's a shame that most games today place more importance in visual effects than gameplay... Still playing T1 and 2 to this day - thanks for the great site and keep it up!

Ne super seite habter da ,turrican ist echt das spiel was geschichte geschrieben hat,alleine das viele versuchen das game am leben zuerhalten ist echt ..RESPEKT.. Mein erstesmal mit turrican werde ich nie vergessen,ich war zubesuch bei meiner tante,die tochter hatte nen großen dicken amiga 500 ;D,ich das erste mal mitn computer (14jahre alt war ich da)nach vielen vielen spielen die ich ins laufwerk geschoben hatte war auf einemal turrican drin ,alleine die musik fesselte mich vorm fernseher wie eine droge,dann starte ich das spiel und es war einfach geil...

Schön das es menschen gibt die auch ma nach hinten schauen und sowas wie turrican am leben erhalten..

nachdem ich jahrelang immerwieder Turrican 1,2 und 3 durgezoggt habe, habe ich gestern "T2003" von dieser seite gesaugt und beim ersten spielen dachte ich erst,"Hey, das sit doch teil 2!?" aber dan merkte ich, das das level anders endete als gewohnt und alles danach ist komplett neu! T2003 sollte Turrican 4 heissen, den es hat genau das, was uns alle an teil 1-3 so gefallen hat! Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen: Saugt es euch!!!
Habe es heute mittag durchgespielt und dabei mächtig geschwitzt(ist ab level4 nicht gerade einfach)
Für mich ist es die erfüllung eines Traums (ein neues Turrican)

An excellent site for turrican fans, you have done very well with this, good work. Dont know whats going on with turrican 3d but I very much hope to hear more about it soon and would be very pleased if it actually did come out to buy sometime.

Oh Mann, das waren noch echte Perlen unter den Computerspielen.
Ich kann gar nicht aufzählen wie oft ich T1 und T2 gezockt habt.
Schöne Seite, weiter so !

Für mich ist wirklich ein Traum in Erfüllung gegangen, dass die Soundtracks zu T1+ 2 als Mp3 auf deiner Page sind, doch um das Ganze zu komplettieren, wäre es super, wenn man auch noch die beiden Super Turricans berücksichtigen würde. Sind ja auch beide von Chris Hülsbeck, also quasi die Fortführung seiner Amiga- Kompositionen. Vor allem der erste Super Turrican hat meiner Meinung nach einen fantastischen atmosphärischen Soundtrack, der locker mit den ersten beiden Teilen mithalten kann und die lieblosen Amiga Turrican 3- Versionen weit hinter sich lässt. Eine dritte Best- of mit den Sounds von ST1+ 2 wäre doch eine gute Idee, oder? Bitte, bitte, bitte. Falls nicht, weiss ansonsten jemand, wo es Mp3s davon gibt?

j haben decouvert Ihren Standort durch Zufall und genauso wie Sie mag j turrican ich sind player von 37 Jahren j haben, an turrican 1.2 zu spielen, und 3 hat er dort sehr lange Zeit, aber ich wußte kein k es gab please plusieur opus, oder die Folge seit l zu finden amiga ich haben n, ps..site wunderbares besser zu finden

Wirklich geile Seite!
Besonders die Soundbase gefällt mir, aber die Downloads haben auch was (wenn ich mal so drüber gucke, wirklich coole Dinge dabei).
Danke an die Macher und immer weiter so!
Vielleicht könnte man die Games noch etwas mit Screenshots etc. von den entsprechenden Systemen ergänzen etc., aber sonst ist echt alles top!

I got into Turrican on the Atari St but its still an awsome experience. So many memories with Turrican and Turrican 2. I still have my Atari and I occassionaly turn it on to play a little Turrican to remember the good times.

Geile Seite, habe mir gestern mal wieder die Soundtrack CD von Chris Hülsbeck angehört und da mustte ich mal im Netz (Google) nach Turrican suchen!Tja waren schon geilen Zeiten frühen...Tornado wir bestimmt auch nie fertig...
Aber zum glück gibts einige gute Clones!!

What a spectacular game.... even now.

I played it to death on me Atari and then the Gameboy version came out and suddenly the flight across the Atlantic was a lot more tolerable.

So - Manfred the programmer was putting in 14 hour days to get the game completed? I know what thats about as it was the way we recorded those Damned albums.... weeks of exhausting (but highly creative) all nighters it was.... but well worth it if the results are happening.

As they are with Turrican. Pure gaming perfection.... and highly memorable tunes.

Today I thought about guestbooks and I came to the conclusion, that they do not make sense.
They do not provide any service to the guests. Some years ago they were quite popular. Today they are still popular - for spambots.

Result: The guestbook is closed. I archive it in this very thread. Using this thread is possible but discouraged.

Mein Tip: Verunstalte das "Guestbook" im Titel zu irgendwas anderem.
