| hello!
i would like to have more info on Super Turrican series on SNES.
I wonder if Super Turrican 1 is a conversion of MegaTurrican on MegaDrive (coverted like Turrican 3 on Amiga).
And what about Super Turrican 2?
Thank you very much,
Gianluca,

| yes, i already saw that section.
But doesn't reply to my questions.
I wonder if Super Turrican (SNES) is a conversion of MegaTurrican (Genesis/Megadrive) + more levels. I didn't have Super Turrican (SNES) so i was just courious...
Thanks |

| It's not a conversion, SuperTurrican (SNES) has its own levels.
Super Turrican2 is not a real Turrican-Game anymore...a wannabe-Contra...

| Super Turrican was released in 1993 and Mega Turrican in 1994. So it's not really possible that Super Turrican (SNES) is a conversion of Mega Turrican.
Where I get this information from?
Here: http://www.nemmelheim.de/turrican/other/ |

| It's very possible, cause Mega Turrican's release was delayed. AFAIK Turrican 3, a conversion of Mega Turrican, was actually released before Super Turrican.
Super Turrican was something like a smaller Turrican 2. No rope. The alien-levels and much of the music were similar, everything else is totaly different.
Have a look at http://www.classicgaming.com/reviews/turrican/turrican.htm |

| Comparing the screenshots of Mega Turrican and Super Turrican is enough for me to see the different. Super Turrican is not a conversion of Mega Turrican, when ever they were released. |

| Sure - no reason to be so rude anyhow |

| ...just don't know, why this question needs an own thread. But ok, I will try "to be nice to everybody".

| If you analyze this thread, you will realize that it would have had only two entries, if the first answer would have been a nice and correct one. Now it has ten entries - too many to move it to the "little question"-thread.
Conclusion: "Being nice to everybody" makes much more sense than most people would ever imagine. |

| Using google makes much more sense than most people would ever imagine, too.
Nothing is to much to move into the "little question"-thread. Look at "Für die kleine Frage zwischendurch..." it got now about 40 entries and a few little discussions. |

| I totally agree, that TheFoxSoft could have solved his problem himself. That's obvious. But that's not the point.
If one of the little question-threads included discussions as big as this one, I would move them to new threads. If handled correctly, the two question-threads will evolve to something very close to an FAQ. |

| I don't wanted to be rude I just tried to keep my information per word rate high. My english is not good enough for longer explanations.
But it's OK. No reason to discuss longer about this nonsense. |

| Super Turrican is in fact some kind of mixture between Turrican 1 and 2. Super Turrican 2 is independant, but has some ideas from Mega turrican (e.g. the Rope, although improved).
BTW, I'm not the same person as Mr Return (i.e. without the '.') |

| Superturrican1 for NES is a kind of mixture, the SNES-Version is saome kind of new thing... |

| "Mr Return" is everybody, who does not enter a name (like in the Turrican highscore-list). |

| Grin.
That is, what he meant (as far as I got it):
He's not "Mr Return", he's "Mr.Return".
(Note the dot (ASCII #46) between "Mr" and "Return".)
Probably his nick is "Mr.Return" and the similiarity with
the board's "default/dummy-name" is a big random.
(And probably he's a german.)

| I know, I know - I just thought, he might think, "Mr Return" is a single person. |

Get some smilies, imperial.
Something like that...
ASCII #59 + ASCII #45 + ASCII #41 |

You may tease Robert as he thinks, teasing is funny - but nobody else please. |

But I explained that a couple of months ago.

| I'm sorry if i caused some problems to Slayer, but i thank him for the reply.
I already saw that link and seeing the pictures i got confused because Super Turrican (SNES) and Mega Turrican (MegaDrive) main sprites are really similar.
Now i'm really looking forward to play ST on SNES! |

| Yes, of course, it does. For me ST is the real successor of T2. As I wrote in another thread, I have to play it again... sometimes |

| Damn, I just checked my old backup CDs but didn't find the SNes direcotry. At least some C64 and Amiga stuff is still there (and the SID/TFMX stuff still rocks...) |
