| I want to develop 3D TurricaN levels, but:
Which 3D format is most common and standard, as defined by Microsoft? I have to choose *.x and *.wrl, but only MS application - Softimage 3D that can edit *.x files works only on NT. I want to work it on Win Me. The *.wrl files are VRML 3D files and are there any other MS 3D formats other than *.x and *.wrl?

| I am interesting of making rather game-documents in common MS application, than using and making stand alone games, which i lost forever. This is similar to using doc files instead of self-containing document executables, as in e.g. noters. In this way, my Turrican 3D clone will have best editable base available. |

| There is nothing from Microsoft to help you with this task. .x is a format created for Direct3D-programmers. .wrl (VRML) is an open 3D-file-format, nothing about Microsoft at all.
Softimage is not a Microsoft-application.
You would need something like this one -> http://t3dgm.thegamecreators.com/ |

| This is true for now, but in a recent times, there existed vrml2c.exe file in MS Windows 98. (this file is in IE5.0 distribution) I got it to work on Windows ME. Thus there exists very loose conjunction of *.wrl format with MS. MS even licensed this from Intervista, but in 1999 MS abandoned it, and Intervista disappeared. Where to get freeware Microsoft VRML 2.0 Authoring Tools CD, if download availability link: http://www.microsoft.com/vrml disappeared? At following link: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/press/1997/Aug97/VRMLSIGPR.asp you can proof that conjunction of vrml and MS was true in past.

| Sure, but very loose - like html. |

| Which VRML editor is the best? (please unlock shoutbox, I have 0 tickets), but I want talk on it about vrml. |

Robert

| Many 3D-editors can export VRML-files, but this won't help you much in creating a game. You can use JavaScript in VRML, but I do not think there is any editor, which will do this for you.
Why would you want to talk about VRML in the shout-box? The forum is better suited for discussions. |

| I want to be amnested from ALL bans (pekaro, shoutbox, board) which I received in past due to T1/T2 rippings. For now I am correct, due to eradicating my all illegal PC works forever. I thought that collecting all of PC games is unrealistic, and illegal, due to too many time that it took and harming its authors. I saw that the same collecting goal may be achieved on C= instead of PC, by Gamebase 64/128, due to its full legality and readility to use direct after download. Thus I revolutionized my interests. And I don't need level ripping, I'm using directly C64/128 game files, as you suggested me before. (this above means removing my past)
And in VRML theme, is really VRML most popular 3D format available? |

| Which VRML editor and browser is the best? |

Robert
|
04.03.05
| Maya, Softimage or 3DStudio. But better have a look at Blender. I don't know, which VRML-browser is the best - this whole VRML-stuff is quite dated.
There is no standard, most popular 3D-format. OK, by definition there sure is a most popular format, but the second most popular will be very close, just as the third
And: Gamebase 64 ist NOT legal. |

Which formats you mentioned there,as most popular, second and third?
|

Robert
|
04.03.05
| None at all |

TurricaN
|
05.03.05
| If so, which 3D format is absolutely most popular? I must know it before I begin. (to avoid working from anew) |

Robert
|
05.03.05
| There is none. Look for the right program, not for the format - you will be able to convert it anyway (unless you use something like the Maya Learning Edition). |

| And for unblock shoutbox: I want to use for small asks, such as: From which game is sititng dwarf image on Nemmelheim ftp page?, and so on. |

Mr Return
|

| Itīs from Amberstar! |

| We have a special thread for little questions (and I just found out, that it included an unanswered question). |

TurricaN

| Mr Return above told me that this dwarf is from Amberstar game.
And for shoutbox and T2002 board unlock: which conditions I must complain, to unblock shout box and T2002 board for me? (are these as: non spamming and illegaling, and so on, and for which time ? And how many constructive post i must make, to avoid this lock? What will proof me that I am no hooligan and spammer anymore? |

| Well, if you promise neither to spam not to insult wie might give it a try. But: Asking the same questions again and again and again is considered as spam. |

TurricaN

| @TRS: I may easily promise not to attack anymore on this site, due to sources of my attacks is no more. This source was in my wish to have all games as PC apps. As I moved to C= side, now my all games are C= apps. And level ripping is dead. I play now all Turrican games as C= apps. |

| "Oh no, he will be asking for a C64-version of Super Turrican."
I don't feel good, if you just stop spamming, cause you collect something different than before. You should stop spamming, cause you understand that spamming is plain stupid (but following your argumentation I doubt it). |

TurricaN
|
10.03.05
| I will not ask for Super TurricaN in C64, or any other TurricaN game. GB64 is closed system, and I can not add new games to it, even if I want it. Eventual expansions of GB64 relies on GB64 Team side, not me. i can only get new full releases of it. I use it in private way, no more say about it here. My only question is: Is there any level editor for C64 TurricaN? |

| yes, there is, but itīs quite undocumented I think. Itīs the original one by MT, once saw it somewhere, found with google. |

| Well - once upon time (in a galaxy far far away...) - I sent this C64 Turrican editor
(by MT) to Bronko who said he'll put in for download onto his site...
Haven't done yet, Bronko?
(Oh, and btw - I've had an idea to realize a 256 blocks (32x32) engine. Maybe some of
my assembler experiments will result in such a thing. - Kinda crazy idea - but think will
work...)

It's done, when it's done... |
