Oscar: Psycho-nics

In 1988 I played a game called 'Oscar: Psycho-nics in the arcade. A few years later when i played Turrican on the Amiga it reminded me of it so i was a bit Turrican fan.
I recently read an interview with Manfred Trenz where he said he was inspired by the Oscar arcade game.
I just finally got a hold of Oscar for the MAME program to play on my pc and i am realy enjoying playng it again after all these years.
I already knew of course that there was some connection between Oscar and Turrican but not until i replayed it (after playing Turrican this time instead of before) and it's amazing how very very similar it is in some ways. Not in all of course but in some.
I think this site should have a section showing screen shots and some game play to show what a massive influcence this arcdade game was on Turrican. you could really say that Oscar was the first Turrican. It's that similar in ways.
This site is a really comprehensive Turrican site but i think it's not complete without a section showing where the whole inspiration for Turrican came from.

"The inspiration for Turrican were Metroid (NES, Nintendo), Psycho-Nics Oscar (Arcade, 1987 Data East Corporation ) and Mario (Nintendo)."

I already had it in the SETA, but even if it was a big inspiration, the gameplay is quite different. I already tried myself, also with MAME

Come on, some of the levels and features of the land scape and enemies are very much like Turrican.
