| I have old joypad Moray pad SV-228 with modified autofire. This joypad is good for playing Turrican, but this joypad has gameport. I can not buy reduction gamport-USB. I need new USB joypad with autofire. Do you recommend some joypad? |

| Hmh...I tried some USB-Joypads...but I can only recommend one.
A Playstation2-Joypad with USB-Connector works fine for nearly all games. I own a PS2, the connector costs just a few bucks...-sorry, Euros for me - so it was a cheap solution too. |

| SpeedLink Bullfrog Joypad worked quite fine, but why use a pad if there´s a Competition Pro USB |

| I have Bullfrog Blue Touch Edition SL-6541 for 2D shoot'em up (R-Type, Jets'n'guns, Ultra Assault...). This joypad is not good for playing Turrican.
When I migrate from Amiga to PC, I bought joypad. Digital joystick for PC in 1997 does not exist. I test joystick Competition Pro USB and it is not fine for me.
I bought USB-gameport converter model RM-203 and it is 100% function with my old "Turrican" joypad Moray pad SV-228

| Competition Pro is not the best controller for Turrican. Some versions let you shoot the powerline with the pad, others give an atractive autofireoption.
...And I heard, that Speed Link's USB Stick gets broken too easy. |

| My moray pad is modified. When I switch on autofire with mechanical switch, the button 1 is automatically activation in autofire mode. When I press button 1, button 1 is on (in Turrican activate flash of lightning). I jump with button 2, button 3 is powerline and shift button is bomb.
Bronko: Yes, I claimed Speedlink Bullfrog Blue Touch Edition, because direction pad was broken. |

| @solaris: I had the same problem with my wingmaster extreme, when I wanted to buy an USB converter my favorite shop told me that this is not ideal for gaming! So I bought a soundcard with gameport for nearly nothing and connected my wingmaster.
But I still miss the "click, click" of the Amiga-Joystick!!! |

| Megamon: My converter USB - gameport RM-203 have 4 modes:
M1:2-axis, 4-button joystick w/view finder, rudder
M2:4-axis, 4-button joystick w/view finder
M3:4-axis, 4-button joystick
M4:2-axis, 8-button gamepad
My joypad is 100% function in mode M4. I don't know joystick wingmaster, maybe will be compatible with this USB converter. The most soundcard have not gameport. Converter USB - gameport is ideal solution for future. |

| @solaris: So you just miss the autofire?
When I went to my favorite shop and asked for a converter, they told me that the performance is not ideal. Turrican is not a 3D game, so this doesn´t really matter. They convinced me to buy a soundcard with gameport for 7,-€ not only for my joystick, but also to improve my onboard-sound.
The wingmaster extreme is a logitech joystick (8 or 9 years old), I like the solid style and the extras and it works for years!
I never played Turrican with a gamepad, I will try to connect my sega-pad to the amiga, it should work...
