| Computer games from C=, Amiga, Mac, PC, etc. has incompatible and non-interchangeable level and sprite formats, thus better would be using of VRML/X3D virtual reality program such as Flux Studio that is free for personal and academic usages.
VRML and X3D are fully standarized 3D formats, similarly to HTML that is fully standarized 2D format.
Flux Studio 2.0 Retail finally arrived after former long beta period and its full version is freely available for download for personal and academic use at http://www.mediamachines.com It works on Windows Me/2000 and up.
It is much better than various competing game formats, because game content and scripts can be easily interchanged between VRML/X3D games, that is not possible for assembly, Basic and C coded games.
These VRML/X3D games can be finally played in Flux Player that works both in standalone and browser-plugin modes. Game and world samples are placed here: http://wiki.mediamachines.com/index.php/X3D_Demos Flux's predecessor from which Flux evolved was called WorldView, and was included in all Windows/Office 2000 CDs.

| Hello TurricaN,
in this forum are no developers so we hardly understand what you are talking about. Please discuss such topics at http://banqit.jconserv.net , a forum of some Turrican related developers. |

| I meant interchangeability of levels, sprites, models, and scripts between various X3D-based games, that can be modified and mixed in Flux Studio.

| These levels, sprites, models, and scripts can be too interchanged and exchanged between X3D games, using Flux Studio. X3D can simply serve as standarized platform for game content.

| X3D was introduced recently, and due to this fact, Turrican 3D Modeling Contest missed converting TurricaN model to X3D, while converting it to VRML.

| Hi TurricaN and DeveloN
This is a Turrican community, so please discuss that is related to Turrican. As Robert said, you are welcome to join and discuss anything general at http://banqit.jconserv.net if you really insist about development.

| I discussed this VRML/X3D stuff here to make discussion publicly available to anyone, because to access http://banqit.jconserv.net forum content login is needed, while here at SETA forum, discussions are publicly available without ant login and password. I hopefully exhausted this VRML/X3D related topic here.
