Amazing news for all video game music fans: There will be a special symphonic concert in Cologne, Germany in August 2008 featuring music by Chris Huelsbeck exclusively! A full orchestra and choir are going to perform never heard before arrangements of titles such as Apidya, Giana Sisters, Turrican, Jim Power, R-Type and many, many others.
More information to follow shortly at: http://www.vgmconcerts.com

| Oha..sorry...didnt recognise the english language. My post wasnt too important. I hope there will be a CD, because this time it is only one artist to negotiate with. Perhaps Chris Hülsbeck could release this concert by himself. |

| But it´s (sadly) not the Artist who holds the copyrights
Rainbow Arts was eaten by THQ, but no Idea if someone bought the KAIKO rights oder Loriciel, who both went bankrupt. (what a shame :/ ) |

| They hold the copyrights for the music too? I am not sure. He released a lot of CDs with his music, there was no hint of THQ/RainbowArts/Loriciel-Copyrights. I thought he owns his owns music... |

| Maybe it´s just tolerated, I´m skeptic about this. Wouldn´t this mean he only licensed his music to Rainbow Arts or something like that?
And else, wouldn´t the graphic-Artists own all graphics and the programmers own the code? |

| By default, yes. The "Urheberrecht" belongs to the "Urheber". I guess companies will usually make you sign some kind of "all your Urheberrecht are belong to us" contract. Not exactly like that, cause that's illegal in Germany, but something similar (exclusive selling license or something). I've never seen Rainbow Arts' contracts though. And I'm not a lawyer. Exact details about such things might be tricky in practice. |
