Strange Turrican1 box shots

Ever looked at the back of the Turrican 1 box (Amiga/ST)

Look at the top shot. That location doesn't seem to be in the normal game. And the background on the bottom is not that in the retail game.

Interesting. Maybe there's a beta version of the game floating around

It's nice to see Turrican clones appearing too

It well may be shots of a beta, but since you can see a mouspointer (!) on the first shot, it may also be some early designs. The first and last shot are not in the final Version, compare the 3-Headed beast-shots in the alien-level.

Nearly forgot: I scanned the first pic with higher DPI, just search for "Pointer" at my site mentioned above
